AI Ready RVA is launching a monthly Education Committee Stakeholder Engagement Meeting—a one-hour strategy briefing for anyone who wants to be involved in our Education Cohort. If you care about AI in education, you should have a seat at this table. What this is: A focused group briefing to keep the region aligned on AI Ready RVA's Education active projects and upcoming milestones. Each month, we will: Surface ways to collaborate (partners, speakers, venues, volunteers, pilots, funding) Hear what educators and partners are seeing on the ground (needs, concerns, opportunities) Connect people across K–12, higher ed, and nonprofits who want to move from interest to action What we’re planning for 2026 (and why we’re convening this meeting): We’re preparing an ambitious year of education programs across the region. In 2026, AI Ready RVA plans to: Grow our Teacher Summit to 400+ educators Expand our AI Summer Camp hosted at VCU Engineering to 100+ students Deepen our relationship with the Mark Cuban Foundation to create more pathways for students Engage higher ed organizations with thought leadership and group events Host hackathons designed to convert interest into real projects, skills, and community impact. This monthly meeting is how we keep the ecosystem open and coordinated—so people can plug in early and help shape what’s next. Quick proof of momentum (2025): Last year, AI Ready RVA hosted a major AI Teacher Workshop (200+ teachers; the largest AI PD event in Virginia), ran an AI Summer Camp with VCU Engineering (50 students), and brought the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp to Richmond (30 students). Who should attend: K–12 educators and leaders, higher education faculty/staff, nonprofits, and other education professionals who want to collaborate on AI literacy, responsible adoption, and student opportunity.
This event took place on Mar 16, 2026 in Greater Richmond and has already happened. AI Ready RVA runs free and member events across the region every month — see the upcoming events calendar for the next session, or explore our industry cohorts to keep learning between events.
