Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp Returns to Richmond Free AI Education for High School Students, Hosted by AI Ready RVA Artificial intelligence is already shaping how we learn, work, create, and solve problems. Richmond's students deserve the opportunity to understand it, experiment with it, and help shape what comes next. AI Ready RVA is proud to welcome the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp back to Richmond for 2026 . Last year, Richmond became the first city in Virginia to host the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp , bringing 30 local high school students together for hands-on learning, mentorship, and real-world AI projects. This fall, we're doing it again. The Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp is a completely free, in-person program for students in grades 9 through 12 . No coding background. No previous AI experience. No prerequisites. Curiosity is enough. The program directly supports AI Ready RVA's mission to cultivate AI literacy across the Greater Richmond Region through education, awareness, and community engagement. Dates Saturday, October 31, 2026 Saturday, November 7, 2026 Saturday, November 14, 2026 Location: Richmond, Virginia Accepted students participate in all three Saturdays . The Mark Cuban Foundation lists Richmond as its Virginia location for the 2026 program, with bootcamps taking place on these three consecutive Saturdays. Who Should Apply? The Bootcamp is open to high school students in grades 9 through 12 from across the Greater Richmond Region. You do not need to know how to code. You do not need experience with artificial intelligence. You do not need to be planning a career in technology. You just need to be interested in learning what AI can do and what you can do with it. What Will Students Experience? This is not a lecture series. Students will work directly with AI tools, collaborate with other high school students, learn from industry mentors, and build something of their own. Students will: Experiment with real AI tools and learn how they work. Explore AI through career tracks including Healthcare, Sports Science, Arts & Entertainment, Business & Entrepreneurship, Career & Education Readiness, and Computer Science .
