CARELab™ is a 6-day (Mon-Sat, 9am-3pm) immersive Leadership + AI Summer Studio for rising high school juniors, seniors, and college students ready to build future-ready skills and real civic impact. In partnership with UVA’s Contemplative Sciences Center and the University of Richmond Innovation Studio, 20-student cohorts tackle real community challenges shared by City Mayors—guided by business, university, and civic mentors. This is not a coding camp; students use AI as a strategic thinking partner to expand cognitive bandwidth (perspective), evaluate complex scenarios, and design human-centered solutions grounded in systems thinking and ethical leadership. The experience culminates in a professional pitch to community leaders, equipping students with distinctive, resume-building impact. Need-based scholarships are available through a simple application process to ensure access for all students.
